Concrete emplacement for 'Langer Max' (Long Max) was a naval gun officially called 38cm SKL/45. Weighing about 200 tons, it fired a shell weighing about 750 kgs. up to 40 kms and was crewed by 70 men.
This gun was used for shelling Compiegne [not Paris] and was not a 'Big Bertha' which was a 420mm howitzer.
